Pepin

Pepin is a French brand founded in Lille in 2021 by Martin Waeghemacker. The company democratizes plant care by making it accessible, fun and aesthetically pleasing, notably with their ceramic olla, an innovative ecological irrigation system.

Seasonal financing requirements

Pepin generates a significant proportion of its sales during the November-December period (Black Friday and Christmas). The company has to anticipate large supplier orders well in advance of end-of-year sales receipts. In addition, payment deadlines for business customers create a time lag between cash out and cash in, impacting cash flow and slowing down strategic investments.

Our response

Since September 2024, Karmen has been supporting Pepin with its Factor solution, offering a €60k line to reduce WCR. This solution makes it possible to collect B2B customer invoices more quickly, and to obtain the cash needed for supplier deposits and balances during the Christmas period. Result: Pepin doubled its November-December 2024 sales compared with the previous year.
